A friendly wager became an opportunity to support spinal cord injury research when Red Bull North America brought colleagues and partners together for a charity tennis event in Santa Monica. Solaeris founder Arthur Iinuma joined the event and made a donation to Wings for Life, a foundation that funds research into spinal cord injuries.

The idea began with a challenge between Red Bull’s head of finance and CIO Clemens Koegler. Each nominated a female colleague with little or no tennis experience. After a year of training, the two colleagues met for a one-on-one match at Reed Park. The gathering continued over dinner at The Bungalow at the Fairmont Miramar.

For Arthur, the event was also a chance to support a cause alongside a longtime client. Solaeris and Red Bull have worked together for nearly 15 years, and the occasion brought that relationship beyond day-to-day business.

Wings for Life supports research aimed at improving outcomes for people with spinal cord injuries. Solaeris was glad to take part in an event that brought people together around that mission.
